Cherry Kubota hopped in the van with our crew and headed off to La Union during our 2016 Asian Tour. She is a beautiful local model in the Philippines and we were stoked to have her with us for this final leg. Photographer Jay Tablante focused his attention and lens on Kubota while she played in the sand at the beach. Quiet and reserved on the car ride to the resort, Cherry came to life and brought some real fire to the photo shoot which pleasantly surprised all of us.

The day was full of activity with many local onlookers who were excited to see her. They followed her up and down the beach while Jay Tablante worked his magic with the camera.

Cherry is half Japanese and half Filipina, born and raised in the Philippines. This beautiful lady is a top model and a fitness ambassador. Kubota landed some lead projects and commercials in the Philippines and in some other Asian countries, won the Century Tuna Superbods and Brain Challenge held in Boracay and the recent title of Ms. Shape Philippines.  Her passion is in the fitness industry, “I love to move, I love to work out, do sports like Jujitsu, boxing and swimming.”  Cherry loves to explore and learn new things, meet new people, learn about their cultures and the journey of traveling to exotic locations. She is quite proud that she is living in a country with an amazing culture, very beautiful beaches and is simply a real paradise.  A few of her favorite places include Coron, Boracay, El Nido, Cebu, Samal, Batangas and many more.

Jay shot Cherry in several swimwear brands including Meg Liz Swimwear, Jaime Ashley Swimwear and a few other local designers.
