Local Filipina fashion model Carmela Fernandez was in the right place at the right time. Sometimes that’s all it takes to become part of the AsianTour.
“I was kinda a wild card though because originally I was not suppose to shoot with the BikiniTeam crew.” stated Carmela. “I was invited by a friend and was only supposed to shoot with local photographer Jay Tablante, just to update my modeling portfolio. Tommy and the team looked at me and asked if I wanted to be featured and join the project. I was so shocked and honored to receive that opportunity.”
Photographer Greg Hunter was stoked to have a chance to work with one of the local models. You can see why by checking our her Instagram. Greg and Carmela hiked along the rocky shoreline to find the perfect spot. After a brief run-in with a sea snake, the two captured some really great looks for Fernandez as you can see in the photos below.
“It was nice meeting Carmela in the Philippines,” stated Hunter. “She’s a natural beauty and was a big help teaching me the dangers of local sea snakes. I had a lot of fun with her at our sunrise shoot.”
Greg decided to move the shoot to the swimming pool where he figured there wouldn’t be anything dangerous swimming around. The photos came out great with Carmela basking in the sun.
“He’s an amazing photographer.” stated Carmela. “I loved all of our photos. He was witty and loved to joke around which made our shoots so much fun.”
Carmela Fernandez looked great in her blue with black trim bikini from Vulure. Greg really did well to capture the blue water of the pool to accent the photo. Sofia provided an awesome swimsuit of Turkish design and bold colors of blue, orange and purple.
Braving the sea snakes, Fernandez and Hunter ventured out into the ocean to capture these hot images of the model wearing a colorful bikini by Karo Swimwear. “Beautiful prints!” stated Fernandez. “Like when we were all rotating swimsuits I loved how even if two models shot in the same bikini it doesn’t look the same. It shows how unique and adaptable the designs are.”
While we couldn’t protect her from the sea creatures, our sponsor Faded Days Sunglasses was able to protect Carmela’s eyes from the harsh Philippine sun. She was pretty excited to receive a pair of these trendy sunglasses. “Dope.” said Carmela. “I love my pair. I snatched mine the moment Tommy said we get one pair each. All my friends love my Faded Days Sunglasses.”
