Imke Folkerts was at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, D.R. competing as a finalist in the Swimsuit USA International model search this past November. BikiniTeam photographer Greg Hunter was on scene as part of our 2016 Carib Tour photo shoot event when he saw this blonde beauty. He was stoked when she accepted the invitation to shoot for us and the rest is history. Ironically, both Folkerts and Hunter just happen to live in the same city in Florida. The crashing waves and tropical setting made for the perfect backdrop to showcase Imke’s natural good looks. We think you’ll agree.

Imke is not just a Florida beauty. She is currently a junior at the University of Central Florida studying biomedical sciences where she maintains a 4.0 GPA! She is hoping to go to medical school after graduation. Folkerts also plans to keep her modeling career alive and well and continue working with Havana Sun. “I absolutely loved working with the BikiniTeam crew and shooting on the beach was my absolute favorite part of the whole trip” says Imke. She also tells us that when she is shooting it feels like she puts herself into a different body and frees herself to let go of all the worries in the world. She describes it as the greatest feeling. Imke was in Punta Cana to compete in the Swimsuit USA model search as a finalist. She said that all the girls she met during the trip were amazing and the most genuine people and can’t wait to go back!

The 2016 Carib Tour was one of the highlights of the year for us at BikiniTeam. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend our time in November than on the beach in the Caribbean with some of the most beautiful women in the world.
